Out with the old, in with the new...

After hours of sifting through my closet I could not believe how many pairs of shoes I own! I never wear 3/4 of them. Working in NYC (I walk 20 minutes to and from work), flats have pretty much ruled my life. And with all the options out there the past few seasons, my pumps have taken a back seat. I even discovered a pair of Alberta Ferretti 4" purple patent pumps which I purchased last Spring for $200 at Century 21. Sure the shoes are gorgeous, and $200 was a great steal, BUT I never wore them. Case in point; bad investment. Here's where eBay comes in handy! And guess what? My Ferretti's sold for $125.

What I did discover is that I do not own a pair of basic black pumps. You know, THAT pair. The pair that gets me through a work day (comfortably), to after hour cocktails, and a night out on the town. How could I not own a pair of black pumps?! Easily. I have not been a smart shopper. I just bought what I loved without thinking it through. So my $125 is now going to the perfect pair of shoes that WILL be a good investment. And ladies, while Century 21 does have good deals, if you're never going to wear it don't buy it!

This week will be dedicated to finding the perfect pair of black shoes. So tune in for my daily find!

  1. Black pumps are staple! I actually have a pair of basic black patent pumps I bought last fall at DSW. I think they were only $60, originally $100 maybe.
GOOD POINT- "If your not going to wear/use something, don't buy it" ..I try to reason like that when I shop.
